PHOTOGRAPHS
Photographs will help tell the story of your house. Ask your neighbors if they have any old photos of your house, perhaps it shows up in the background of their own family pictures unintentionally. Former owners of your house or their children may still live in the community. Try to locate them and inquire about the existence of old photos. The Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania, Department, and University of Pittsburgh's Archives Service Center all have photographic collections, although the chances are remote that any of these institutions will have a picture of your residence.
